Wasabi Lobby!

Well the Notre Dame game yesterday definitely didn’t have a favorable ending… After 4 over times, the longest game in ND history ended with a loss to Pitt.  Booo.  It was at least fun to watch – I snacked on some tortilla chips & salsa, a few apples (they were small), and some rice cakes while I nervously prayed for an Irish victory.  After the game as I was walking over to the East side with the boy we caught an amazing fireworks display over Central Park.  I. Love. Fireworks.  We assumed it was in honor of the NYC marathon that is actually going on right now.

When we got back I had another small apple and a whole mess of frozen grapes before heading over to Wasabi Lobby for some sushi.  Ok, background: sushi is literally my favorite food in the entire world.  This place was sooo good!  It’s on 1st Ave between 76th and 77th Street.  If you guys live in NYC definitely check it out.  We started off with some green tea…

Then I got a green salad to start – I love the ginger-carrot dressing that you get alongside the greens.  I always get salads when I get sushi for this reason, although I tried some of the boy’s seafood miso soup and it was amazing.

For my entree I asked the server what was freshest and ordered based on her recommendations.  I definitely suggest doing that when you go for sushi – fresh fish makes alll the difference.  I got a Yellowtail w/ scallion roll, a Spicy Crunchy Salmon roll, and 2 pieces of salmon sashimi.  So so good!!  I had a few cocktails later, watched som SNL and called it a night.  Perfect relaxing Saturday night!

An oat-less morning

Even though it’s freezing out I just wasn’t in the mood for oats this morning (plus I had no bananas), so I made a big bowl of PB Bumpers along with a huge container of frozen grapies and some Acai Green Tea.  Yummm… I love Revolution teas!  Can’t wait to get dressed and head over to check out the brave souls that are doing the marathon.

Despite the not-so-great ending to the game, it definitely sounds/looks like you had a great Saturday!!

Oh man, all those grapes and that apple!!! Food porn to me 😀

Okay, I definitely thought that the PB Bumpers were chickpeas at first, haha.

    Happy Sunday!!!

That tea bag looks so ELEGANT and pleasant! It makes me think of a ballroom dance for some reason, just floating along the surface of the water carelessly yet gracefully!!
Frozen grapes are so yummy but it is soooo chilly out so I applaud you for being brave and digging into those iced babies!!

I love tiny apples – I can eat so many of them. I’ll have to try that restaurant next time I’m in the city 🙂
